3rd Grade Van Gogh Flower Vases

3rd grade has been looking closely at Van Gogh's artwork. I showed them two different sunflower vase paintings that he made and they had to compare and contrast them. Then, I showed them step by step how to draw their own Van Gogh inspired vase. They outlined their pencil lines with oil pastels, painted it in with liquid watercolors, then added paper collaged flowers for a more 3D effect. They turned out great!
