3rd Grade Andy Warhol Prints

3rd graders learned about the artist Andy Warhol. We talked about how he helped start the Pop Art movement. We also looked at his artistic style, and how he often repeated an image, but changed the colors around within that image. Then, they got to create their own print design with pen on a laminated strip of paper. They took markers and colored onto the lamination, then pressed it down on paper four different times to create their prints. Finally, they got to add additional details to their work to give it some extra zing.
